The two first went public with their relationship in November 2012 at her Hitchcock premiere in New York. The premiere occurred less than a month after the actress’s split with former boyfriend Nate Naylor went public.
Rumours were first sparked that she had tied the knot after being spotted wearing a slender diamond band, Johansson debuted her new engagement ring while walking the red carpet at the 2013 Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 3. Dauriac has also been sporting a ring on that finger. The blond star’s beau is said to have popped the question with a stunning vintage Art Deco ring.
It came following in the reports, that the 30-year-old wed the French journalist in a secret ceremony following the birth of their daughter Rose in September.
“Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac were married in a very intimate ceremony after the birth of their daughter,” a source told.” They kept the wedding a big secret because they both wanted privacy.
Despite reports, Johansson and French journalist Dauriac did not marry in their hometowns of New York City and Paris, but exchanged vows in Montana.
A clerk told that the happy couple tied the knot on October 1, 2014, in Philipsburg, Montana, officiated by Richard J. Miller, which took place less than a month after the pair welcomed their first child, daughter Rose, in September. The “I dos” took place at the Ranch at Rock Creek.
According to a source, the lovebirds arrived to The Ranch at Rock Creek several days before their wedding and spent lots of time relaxing and doing activities together. And yes, their baby daughter Rose was with them.
“They were really laid back and friendly and almost always had the baby,” an insider told. “They were holding hands and hugging and smiling and flirting with each other. You could tell they were really happy.”
Throughout the week they even attended a rodeo, for which Scarlett sang the national anthem! Their entourage went to a barbecue with other ranch guests. “Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac and their group were all clapping, screaming and cheering as they were entertained by the rodeo games,” another source revealed. “It was great.”
The rest of the week’s activities — and details about the wedding itself — are scarce but from this report it’s pretty clear that this newlywed couple had the low-key, fun wedding week of their dreams. Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac walked down the aisle in a super-private ceremony!
The couple stepped out together on Dec. 1, 2014, for the Gotham Independent Film Awards in NYC, and Johansson reportedly introduced Romain to guests at her table as her husband.
This was the first marriage for Dauriac and the second for Johansson, who officially divorced her first husband Ryan Reynolds in 2011.
The year 2014 has been a big year for the actress as she not only had a baby and got married, but she’s had a successful career year as well with her starring roles in box office hits Lucy and Captain America.
